this morning i acquired an original sx 70
i have changed out the plastic beneath the filter retaining ring, but have not yet put a onestep filter over the lens
then i bought a 600 cartridge and snipped off the nubs. i loaded it and it ejected the cartridge, right as rain so i figured the mechanism was in order
well, i figured it wasn't too bring outside and so a little over exposure wouldn't be too bad and set the exposure to dark and clicked the button
it made the proper sounds and i sat there, holding the button down for a while. nothing happened. i let up. nothing happened. ii removed the cartridge (just standing in the shade from my house, not really in the dark. i know i know, bad plan) and then reinserted it and it ejected the photo. the photo came out a smooth sheet of beige. So i fiddled some more, read a few more online articles, went outside and tried again. same thing happened. so back into the closet i went and did the same thing, and so it spit out the photo and this time it came out black with two white spots
what...do i do? |

I went to the Unique tonight with my mom, and two days ago I went to Goodwill (by myself). These are the results of my excursions.
PS. I'm not good about the prices. I just see and spend. =(
PPS. My hands now smell like the thrift store. Is this a good or bad thing? You tell me...

but i've always been fascinated with them. just how quickly you can see the results amazes me. my parents had one when i was younger, but when we moved they threw it away. stupid in my opinion, but i didn't have a say in it, nor did i know what that meant.
anyways, i'm looking up vintage polaroid cameras on ebay. i found one i really like (land camera 101, 1960s). but i don't really know how to find film for it.

What's the best way to attach wooden pieces (about the size of a Scrabble letter) to a chain for a necklace? I'm pretty sure there are tiny screws with loops on the end, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to attach those. Is there a better way to secure a loop to a (fairly solid) wooden piece? THANKS! |

Hey everyone.
I am starting my own small business in the next month or two, making badges. I'll be using Etsy, Big Cartel, eBay, Myspace and a website of my own to sell them. I will be doing both custom order designs and standard designs too.
In terms of my own shop website, I'd like to have a simple, but nice looking website to sell the custom service.
Can anyone let me know how I go about designing the website and producing the code for the site itself? Do you use a website to do this for you? Has someone else done this for you? Did you have to pay for it?
Can you basically let me know everything you can in regards to this?

Hi, i'm new here and newly interested in Polaroids. I am hoping to win a bid on ebay for a slr 680, and i was looking up 600 film. And this may be a stupid question, but how important is the expiration date? i mean does the film not work at all when the expiration date is over, or does it just not come out as well? And i was also wondering, since the 600 film is discontinued, will there be any other options for film when there isn't much 600 film left? because i thought i read that there is some sort of conversion that can be done on sx70's to get them to work with 600 film, and i was just wondering if there would be a way to do that to camera's that take 600 film and make them use other non-discontinued film, or maybe i am just being nonsensical. But any advice would be so wonderful, so thanks in advance. |

Okay, so school's officially out. Chicago is warming up. And one of my best friends asked me to make her this dress out of some material she had. Well, she actually had the patterned material from an old dress, & we found the seafoam green at JoAnn's. I love when you find the perfect match like that.

Every single day I see a picture of you or I hear your name, and every single day it still hurts. We've all found it in ourselves to smile and laugh again, and we're all healing, but we'll never get over you leaving us like you did. I still go to shows and expect to see you, your friends are still writing songs about you and that heart and that smile you had, and above all, I'm still really upset and uncomfortable with how you left us. I just think of your mom and I think of your brother. I think of your dad's broken heart and I wonder why you, too. I don't know about some of the rest of the friends you left behind, but I know that for me, your death has been a constant reminder of how I need to live my life being more in love and in touch with my friends than ever before.
It's been a month today, since Danny died. Can't forget you've gone. I miss you, sweet boy. ♥ |

I've made things lately, among other things I made some crystal picture frames, some bound books, some glitter glass marbles and paper rings, a carosel purse, a feathered purse, a champagne-bottletop purse, little chirplet bird rings with a egg basket ring, a bubblegum ring, sushi rings.
